01 // Platform & Access

DarkMatter Market operates as a decentralized, wallet-less escrow platform on the Tor network. It is designed to facilitate anonymous exchange of digital and physical goods using Monero (XMR). The infrastructure prioritizes operational security, utilizing a distributed node system to mitigate DDoS attacks and ensure uptime. We act as a neutral arbiter between buyers and verified vendors.

Always verify the PGP signature of the market login page. DarkMatter signs all official communications and mirrors with our administrative PGP key. Verify the URL matches our primary address exactly:

kb3qxip7bvh6rgfre7h7gcxth2bf7ezo5tubp3a5cdef2pboc3bpdtad.onion

Never use links provided by third parties in private messages. Refer to our /mirrors endpoint for rotation updates.

To combat network congestion and DDoS attacks, DarkMatter utilizes a rotating list of V3 onion mirrors. If the main link is unresponsive, consult the 'Links' page on this portal or our signed Dread thread for active mirrors. All official mirrors are cryptographically signed to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.

02 // Financial Infrastructure

Bitcoin (BTC) and other transparent ledgers offer insufficient privacy for darknet operations. DarkMatter exclusively utilizes Monero due to its mandatory privacy features: Ring Signatures (obfuscating the sender), RingCT (hiding transaction amounts), and Stealth Addresses (hiding the receiver). This ensures complete financial anonymity for all market participants. We will not integrate BTC.
Each user account is assigned a unique XMR subaddress. Deposits require 10 network confirmations (approx. 20 minutes) to credit. Withdrawals are processed via an automated hot wallet for smaller amounts, while larger sums require cold storage signing (up to 12 hours). A standard network fee applies to all withdrawals to ensure rapid block inclusion.
Funds for orders are held in a secure, multi-signature escrow wallet. The vendor is not credited until the buyer confirms receipt of the product or the auto-finalize timer (14 days for physical goods, 48 hours for digital) expires. Early Finalization (FE) is only available to vendors with "Trusted" status and a bond exceeding 50 XMR.

03 // Orders & Vendors

Vendor status is reserved for established merchants. Requirements include: a non-refundable bond of 2.00 XMR, a proven track record on other recognized markets (Recon/Dread verification), and mandatory PGP 2FA setup. New vendors undergo a probationary period with listing limits until trust metrics are met.
If an order is disputed, the escrow is frozen. Both parties must submit evidence (logs, tracking data, photos) within 48 hours. Our resolution center employs AI analysis for preliminary data sorting, followed by human moderator review. Decisions are final and based strictly on the provided evidence.
DarkMatter enforces a strict harm-reduction policy. Prohibited items include: Fentanyl/Carfentanil (and analogues), weaponry/explosives, CP/CSAM, poisons, and murder-for-hire services. Listing prohibited items results in immediate vendor banning and seizure of the bond.

04 // Security Protocols

Navigate to Account Settings > Security. Import your public PGP key. The system will encrypt a challenge message to your key. Decrypt this message to obtain the verification code. Once verified, 2FA is enabled, and you will be required to decrypt a unique token for every subsequent login attempt. This prevents account takeovers even if passwords are compromised.
Security architecture mandates that we do not have "admin backdoors" or password reset capabilities via email. If you lose your password, you can recover your account using the mnemonic seed provided during registration. If you lose your mnemonic seed, your account and funds are cryptographically inaccessible forever.
